Safely measure high voltages up to 5000 V, detects efficiency improvement effects on the order of 0.1%

The Hioki VT1005 safely measures voltages up to 5000 V, converting them to a lower voltage then outputs them to a power analyser. As a result, the device can be used to measure the efficiency of inverters that convert high-voltage power. In addition, the Hioki VT1005 can measure the voltage across a band that ranges from DC to 4 MHz with an amplitude error of ±0.1% (from DC to 200 kHz) and phase error within ±0.1°(*1) (from DC to 500 kHz). The VT1005 measures not only the fundamental wave of the power output from the inverter but also the switching frequency component accurately and with high repeatability.
