The Chroma 87001 Battery Cell Simulator is a high precision,ย programmable and bidirectionalย DC power source with both voltage sourceย and current source functions. In addition, theย model can be used as a multi-channel DCย power supply or an electronic load as well. Aย single simulator has 16 channels and each of
them can set voltage and current respectivelyย via Chroma software.

 

The 87001 Battery Cell Simulatorย can be used in place of lithium-ion batteriesย to provide a reliable and safe testingย environment. The equipped battery management system (BMS) and its subsystemsย can test the battery cells used in electricย vehicles and energy storage batteries, etc.

 

It canย be used alone with user development softwareย or integrated into a fully functional BMS testย system for automated testing to completeย product verification rapidly. The simulatorย can test the BMS products under master/slave or independent architecture. Optionalย high-precision temperature simulation isย available through Chroma’s customized BMSย test system as each battery has temperatureย sensor simulating function to provide the cell
temperature status to BMS for testing.
