The PS-500 is a Near Field Probe set that includes four probes and a custom storage case. Designed for performance and ease of use, the PS-500’s unique design allows for easy access to tight or hard-to-reach places while minimizing the effect of hand position or cable placement.

What is Included?

Precision E-Field Probes

The set includes two precision E-field probes: a fine tip probe and a contact tip probe. The fine tip probe is designed to be extremely sensitive to distance from the source, allowing for easy discrimination between traces on a PCB.

Contact Tip Probe

The contact tip probe allows for direct electrical contact with the circuit and has a wider frequency range than the fine tip probe. Both probes allow for the identification of noise sources to a trace or pin.

Broadband Probe

The set also includes a broadband probe for identifying E-fields over a broad frequency range and an H-field probe with a magnetic loop design ideal for isolating sources of magnetic noise. The shielded loop construction of the H-field probe allows for measurements that minimize the effect of electrical fields.
